B H Enterprises N gauge (1:148)
Purchased the ‘N’ gauge open top tram kit from Thameshead Transport (originally made by Cromer, then purchased by Invictascene), then added the freelance ‘N’ gauge totally enclosed 2-axle cars originally made by D&M and taken over by Invictascene. B H added two 4-axle kits also in ‘N’ gauge.

Corgi S gauge (1:64), OO gauge (1:76), O gauge (1:50)
Corgi entered the model tramcar market with a range called ‘Traditional Trams’ that were various types of four wheel tramcars advertised as ‘OO’ gauge but in fact they were ‘S’ gauge (1:64). Later other die cast tramcars were produced, this time to proper ‘OO’ gauge and with greater detail than the initial offerings. Unusually Corgi also entered the American market with a range of PCC cars in ‘O’ gauge (strictly speaking 1:50 scale, while USA ‘O’ gauge is 1:48 scale while British ‘O’ gauge is 1:43 scale). While current production of all models is erratic there were so many produced they are generally easily available. The part work company Atlas has also used the moulds for some of the trams in their ‘Trams of the World’ initiative. While sales of these trams is rather strange most can be found at affordable prices on eBay.

Exclusive First Editions OO gauge (1:76)
In 1989 a new diecast company was established, Exclusive First Editions (EFE). The company was dedicated to producing accurate die cast models of road vehicles to a consistent scale of 1:76. In 1991 a Leeds Horsfield tramcar was added to the range. Since then the tooling has remained the same, but there have been livery changes. However, all liveries have been reproductions of actual liveries carried by the cars. EFE continue to make model vehicles, however, it has been some time since a new livery tramcar has been introduced. In 2016, Bachmann Europe plc announced their acquisition of Exclusive First Editions. Currently none of the tram models are available through their website, but most can be found on eBay.
Mark Hughes OO gauge (1:76)
Mark introduced an etched brass tram kit in 1991. Since then he has introduced additional tram kits in white metal, brass and resin. He also produces a range of white metal and etched brass spare parts.

KBT Kits OO gauge (1:76)
KBT Kits is the trading name of the etched brass body kits offered by Kevin Bucknall. They are all of ‘OO’ gauge Blackpool tramcars. He usually sells them through eBay.
KW Trams OO gauge (1:76), N gauge (1:148), O gauge (1:43), G scale, 1/16 scale
KW Trams was started around 2010 by John Harries. They produced around a dozen tram kits in OO gauge, O gauge and one in N gauge. The business was bought by Paul Coles in 2013 and he has extended the range regularly since then. In 2015 he bought the BEC motors and spares business from Brian Robinson. In 2020 he bought the tram, road vehicle and figures ranges from ABS.
KW Trams now sells over 250 different tram kits as well as around 100 different sizes of motors covering O and OO gauge and a wide range of spares.

Laxey Models OO gauge (1:76)
Gordon Bulmer wanted to build a Manx Electric Railway Layout in OO gauge, but couldn’t find appropriate models, so he learnt to produce 3D printed models and has now produced a range of models which are available from his website. He also produces cabs to allow you to build other cars and both motorised and unmotorised chassis for the models.

Majestic Trams OO gauge (1:76)
Charles Teader bought Tramalan in 2012. Over the following 8 years he slowly re-introduced a number of the British kits. Following his death, his brother-in-law Dave Duncan has taken over the business and is continuing to re-release models.

In 1990, P & D Marsh they purchased the white metal tram kit produced by Tennents. Initially the kits were offered under the ‘Monmouth Models’ name.

Radley Models O gauge (1:43)
Radley Models produce a range of rail models and which included a number of trams which have been designed by Dr Arun Sharma. These have been produced in limited numbers and most have been sold out.
They also produce a small range of spare parts in resin.
Radley Models has ceased trading. If you do a Google search for Radley Models it says it is temporarily closed. The website is no longer available to view. The tram models may be available from Dr Sharma.
Rainy City Models OO gauge (1:76)
David Maltman has started to produce a range of 3D printed trams. The range will eventually cover prototypes from across the North-West, though the initial focus will be on Manchester Corporation. A website is being developed.

Terry Russell O gauge (1:43)
Terry Russell is well known for his ‘O’ gauge models. At one time he offered fibre glass castings for some ‘O’ gauge tramcars. He has also co-operated with Chris Cornell to offer etched brass kits.
Terry has taken over the Wistow range of etched brass kits. He also sells a wide range of O gauge motors and parts, including providing sets of appropriate tram parts and accessories to complement some of the 3D printed tram models that are available from Shapeways and i.Materialise.
The kits are no longer listed on Terry’s website.

Andy Burrows produces a range of 3D printed model trams and a range of transfers to go with them. 3D printed interiors are also available for some of the trams. Initially these were all printed commercially, but recently Andy has invested in his own printers and is able to supply the models at a very competitive price. Pete Watson OO gauge (1:76)
Pete Watson produced a range of OO gauge card kits of Blackpool trams and has more recently added trams from a number of other towns.
Although designed for OO gauge, they are in PDF form so they can easily be scaled down on printing to H0, N or even smaller. The models are available through the Tramway Information website.

Allen Doherty trades under the name of Worsley Works. He specialises in short production runs of etched brass kits for unusual railway prototypes but also produces a small number of trams. Their tram kits consist of all the parts to make a basic body and the artwork can be used to produce the kits in any scale.
